FARMINGTON APPROVES PROPERTY TAX INCREASE TO FUND ADDITIONAL FIREFIGHTERS

Farmington residents will see a small increase to their annual property tax bill after the City Council voted last Tuesday to adopt a 4.99% property tax increase for Fiscal Year 2026–27. The decision, made during the city’s Truth in Taxation hearing on Aug. 18, will generate $285,108 in new annual revenue, dedicated entirely to stabilizing the city’s growing emergency services needs.
